Designs complex IT system solutions to address Pharma business needs (focus is primarily on Clinical, systems). Projects are large in scope, typically cross-functional, technically difficult, often involving combinations of platforms, hardware, software and technology. Solutions can be a Package or Custom Development approach.
Analyzes business requirements and makes written recommendations for IT solutions. Writes project related documentation such as functional specifications, design specifications, and software development plans. Acts as an expert technical resource that can provide comprehensive technical consultation to business unit and IT management and staffs at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Receives general direction from the Group Manager or Global Head. This position has no direct management responsibility, but is highly accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of the project solution.

Duties in Detail:
1. Analyze, design, realize and implement IT solutions, including:
? Contribute to User Requirements gathering and analysis
? Evaluate alternative approaches, prototype as needed, recommend solutions
? Develop a Software Development Plan
? Devising functional and conceptual design specifications
? Create specifications for components and interfaces
? Data and process modeling
? Detail design specifications
? Develop unit/integration testing programs using the defined software development environment.
? Develop and or contribute to the development of IQ scripts (Installation Qualification) and OQ (Operational Qualification or Functional) Test Scripts
