Job Title: TIBCO Production Support Analyst (Need 2)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: thru 6/30/07
Job Description: Responsible for production monitoring/support of the Tibco Middleware Billing infrastructure that includes Tibco Integration Manager, BusinessWorks,/ BusinessConnect adapters on a Sun Solaris platform, managing/implementing adapter code using Tibco Designer and RepoManager, utilizing Tibco Hawk for support/administration of the Tibco Middleware Environment on a 24/7 weekly pager rotation. Improved PERL archiving script allowing for more efficient processing and dropped overall processing time from 12 hours down to 2 hours daily by redesigning code structure and applying a more modular approach to file archiving and MySQL database update duties of the process. Create a PERL script to poll, using DBI, an Oracle database in order to monitor transaction flow through a database table used by the middleware adapter. Script improved response time for production support group to address issues where transaction flow became slowed or stalled due to middleware adapter issues.
Skills Required: Candidate will have intimate knowledge of Enterprise Level systems and applications. Specifically, the candidate will have extensive working knowledge of TIBCO BW, IM and EMS products. The applicant will also have working knowledge of multiple UNIX platforms and scripting knowledge. Time management and high organizational skills are a must.
Intangibles: This group requires folks that are high energy self starters that don’t need to have their hand’s held. They must also understand what it means to be in a 24x7 suport shop in regards to being paged during outages, etc.
